![]() ![]() Since Spriter appears to be fairly common in the art community (both character packs we bought, from two different artists, included them), this would be a big win. That is, instead of loading a bunch of PNG images of the various frames, we'd have just loaded a hierarchy of body parts and the animations that make them run, jump, attack, etc. Bones - Full-featured bone system allows to create cutout animation using bitmap images or control your vector artwork. Skeleton can be added by adding skeleton layer (layer->new layer->other->skeleton). ![]() With this feature you can run simple python scripts right from the docume. Doing the animations in Spriter was super easy - though exporting them, with the right scale and offset, was a bit maddening.īut anyway, what would have been even better would be if we could have just loaded the Spriter animations as Unity animations directly. I can’t offer any advice on python on mac os, but as far as i know add skeleton plugin doesn’t do anything useful. This video demonstrates development version of Synfig Studio extended with plugins. This was really great for us, because we needed to make a couple more animations (mainly running/jumping while carrying something), which would have been pretty much impossible if we only had the PNG files. I just encountered Spriter this week, because the Viking characters we bought (at GraphicRiver) for our GGJ project included Spriter files. First, we need to create a character in 1 piece, then create a skeleton in a well defined order, to avoid that everything does twist at the same time during the animation. ![]()
